The Concealer Edit.
Iβve been so busy this week that I didnβt think Iβd be able to get another blog post up but Iβve managed to squeeze one in. Iβve decided to do the concealer edit and show you guys all of the concealers I have in my makeup collection, thereβs two high end and three drugstore, so something for every budget! Some of these are concealers are ones I always use and will continue to repurchase because theyβre really good at matching my skin tone, covering redness and blemishes and covering under eye circles. What more could a girl want from a concealer? So without further ado, here they all are.
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer
This is a very popular concealer in the beauty world, for only Β£4.19 you get a concealer that has really good coverage, covers under eye circles really really well and also covers up redness and blemishes. I have this in βFairβ and itβs a great colour match for my pale skin. It doesnβt last all that long, but if you donβt want to splurge on the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, itβs a pretty good dupe.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
This concealer is another popular product in the high end spectrum, itβs Β£22 but totally and utterly worth it, I promise! I have this in the shade Chantilly as itβs the perfect light shade for brightening under my eye area. I only use it to cover my under eye circles as I donβt like to waste such an expensive product on covering up blemishes when I can use a more affordable concealer for that. But honestly, it works a dream on under eye circles, it covers them up perfectly and doesnβt crease with a setting powder over it, at least not for a few hours anyway. Some claim that it doesnβt crease for them at all but I think because I have oily skin, Iβm prone to it a bit more. If you buy a shade that matches your skin tone rather than going for a lighter version, it is brilliant at covering up blemishes and redness too, but at the moment I only have a light version for my under eye circles.
Mac Studio Finish Concealer
I have been using this product for years, it has quite a thick but creamy formula and is just one of the best concealers I have ever used for covering any imperfections I have on my face. I have this in the shade NW15 and one pot costs Β£15.50 which seems like a lot, but these little babes have lasted me well over a year even using it practically every day. As you can see itβs well used and loved, and Iβm about due another one, but Iβve had this since my birthday last year I believe, so thatβs over a year! You will not be disappointed with this product, the only tiny issue I have with it is that itβs not all that great for oily skin, whenever I wear it in my T-Zone I always get more oily than usual, itβs a shame but I still absolutely love it!
Seventeen Phwoarr Paint
This concealer is really similar to the Mac Studio Finish, itβs another quite thick but creamy formula, itβs not as good, but itβs a third of the price at Β£5.49. I have this in the shade βFairβ and Iβve been using this loads lately to cover up all my break outs and it has really good coverage. Iβve been using a lot of it and Iβve hardly made a dent in it as you can see, I can imagine this will last a fairly long time. This is by far my favourite drugstore concealer!
Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer
This is a drugstore concealer I was eager to try out after hearing good things about it, and I do really like it. Not so much for the formula but more for the yellow toned side as itβs the perfect colour match for my yellow undertones. I tend to reach for that side a lot more than the pink colour but it is really great at covering up redness/blemishes/under eye circles. If you can find a use for both sides then I really recommend it, but I donβt think Iβll repurchase this just for one of the shades. It has a translucent powder in the top and a little mirror so if you travel a lot itβs perfect!
And those are all of the concealers I own at the minute, whatβs your favourite?
